July 7, 2007 to December 31, 2007:
Troop 2295 was chartered on July 7, 2007. The first official committee meetings took place in July and August. Our first troop meeting took place at Van Saun Park on September 15, 2007. Since we didn't begin posting the calendar on the Internet until January 2008, the table below does not include the troop events which took place between September and December 2007, so I will just describe them here. In those first 4 months of operation, the following events took place: Open House held at Van Saun Park on September 29, 2007; approximately a dozen troop meetings; 4 committee meetings; a 10-mile hike of the "Old New York Historical Trail" in lower-Manhattan (October 13, 2007); a tour of the Port Authority Helicopter Hangar at Teterboro (November 25, 2007); and a cabin-camping weekend at Camp NoBeBoSco (December 9, 2007). The troop began with 10 boys at the first troop meeting (September 15, 2007), and 5 more boys joined at the Open House (September 29, 2007). There were 15 boys in the troop from September 29, 2007 to February 14, 2008. At the Bridging Ceremony held on February 14, 2008, an additional 14 boys joined the troop, bringing to 29 the total number of boys who were members of Troop 2295 in its inaugural 12 months of operation. http://www.riveredgescouting.org/index1.html | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Troop 2295 Scout Summer Camp (6.0 Nights) Camp Keowa at Ten Mile River (TMR) Most of the scouts of Troop 2295 will be attending the week of Scout Summer Camp. Our Scoutmaster, Mike O., will be on lead the full week, with other Troop 2295 leaders, ASMs, and parents in attendance at various points in the week.
